Book On Pleasin'

“Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep... wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you're just as pretty without makeup on. One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky his is to have you.... The one who turns to his friends and says, 'that's her.'” - ThinkExist.com

My husband wrote the book on women pleasin'!

No really, he did. I must have won the soul mate lottery with my man.

You ever heard of "The five love languages"? Its different ways that we, as humans, express our love to one another. Usually one is more prominent in each of us than the others.
acts of kindness, affection, time, gifts, and words are the 5 kinds.
Jacob ALWAYS wants to spend TIME with me.
He ALWAYS wants to hug and snuggle and HOLD me
He ALWAYS wants to buy me GIFTS.
And more often than not he TELLS me he loves me. At least 5 times a day.
He SHOWS me by giving me mani's and pedis, rubbing my back, bathing me, etc.

So even though I know the first three are EQUALLY his most prominent, He speaks all 5.

No matter what weight I have been, He still has chased my tail like a dog since day one. Everyday.Seriously, everyday he wants it. (and gets it, minus one week of each month) I find that beautiful. That no matter how plump I got after quitting smoking, he always loved and wanted me. It helped inspire me further when it came to loosing all that weight. And he was always very supportive. Very helpful.

On top of a great sex life, (fan-frikkin-tastic....ehm), there is immense amounts of affection. We are most commonly found, when not out shopping/window shopping, in our room tangled together in a ball of body parts snuggling and talking or half watching cartoons. Cuddling is one of our favorite things to do. Jacob says its what he misses most when we are apart.

SHOPPING

What woman doesn't love shopping? Well, I realize they are out there, just rare. As rare as a man THAT DOES! My man! He adores shopping, he can not get enough. He has fantastic taste in everything from his cloths to mine. He knows what looks good. (I think that that visually based gift comes from a mix of his creative side and choleric side. Though GOOD taste is just a lucky gift)

How many women's husbands come home from a hard days work and surprise them with Victoria Secret? Or clothing, purses, makeup, jewelry, and even shoes sometimes? NOT MANY!

-----------------------------

Not many people that have just met me are aware of, or could even imagine,
who i use to be. Or how I use to be. Different.

As a result of a mix of misfortunes that I won't get into, I was rebellious, tough, mean, easily angered, and a bit narcissistic. I won't get into details with any of that either. But I was not the smiling, squishy, love bug I have become. Jacob did that.

He literally had a halo around him when I saw him, no joke. My mother thought he looked like the angel Gabriel, she instantly liked him and hugged him. He was a good boy, a good person. And ohhh what a sweet romantic. He cracked my shell, tore down my walls, in no time flat. He got me to quit smoking, which no one could, after only a short time of knowing me. I call him my angel, because I feel like he saved me from myself. I was not a good person, not in life. I think I've always had it on the inside. Heart.

I tell him our song is "Halo" by Beyonce, because it is the most fitting and was fairly new when we met.
He tries to say that I'm "his angel", but I don't feel that way. I think its just because I'm unlike anyone he has ever met. I don't think he is use to having everything he wants and having unwavering loyalty and support. Not having to worry about be judged or yelled at for his choices. Being consoled on all that aches in his heart and memories. I do try to heal the bad, and create good. But thats just the job of a good wife.
Thats part of loving your man right. (If said man is worthy)

I've never been with such a person as Jacob. He prefers to be called by his lovey name, Pookie. He was happy that people knew he had such a love. He is never ashamed of us. Which honestly shows signs of a weakness deep in someone if they care what others think. Jacob is stronger, he never has. That leaves him open to loving me his way, not the - approved by the world - way.

He is simply adorable! Sometimes I swear I married a cartoon. How anyone up to this point has managed to resist his adorable cuteness, his big cute fluttery eyes, and not just melt is beyond me. He says I'm the reason he is spoiled and that he never has been before, but I don't know how anyone has resisted his charms!

He also possesses the typical husband traits, like an undying loyalty and protectiveness of me. He is very protective of me. Which I like. You need to, as the weaker sex, feel that your husband can keep you safe. I feel safe with Jacob. With his temper, I know I won't be messed with. He has an intimidatingness to him when he is serious.

He wants to take care of me, that shows me that he is a great man. He knows I have lots of health problems, and one arm, and wants to care for me. He has earned quite a bit of respect amongst his higher ranking superiors by his thoughts and devotion towards me. Now that he is treated equally by the more mature and respectable men, he has no interest in being around anyone his own age. He has no tolerance for immaturity.
He always has been, I'm told by family, mature beyond his years. Though still as playful and impish as a child. He keeps my life fun and colorful. As well pure and meaningful.

I really do feel like I am a truly lucky girl.

Eureka!

I have been watching this series lately while my husband is at work. (I try to find sub - par programs he wouldn't be interested in.) I'd have to say though I do find it interesting, I couldn't rate it more than 4 stars. Today, it did help me realize something.

The episode I was inspired by was addressing an OCD germaphobic man who was afraid of everything. He was working in a laboratory, studying "cellular regeneration" in reptiles. Hoping for a breakthrough to help humans. In an accident, he was given the ability himself. Now he had no fear, now he could do anything!

That was his mindset. Germs now seemed less contaminating and disgusting. Life seemed less hazardous. The idea of a baseball game once disturbed him, but now he was actually open to the idea.

With our world, with our science and technology, we are almost too aware of germs, viruses and bacteria. Why are humans so obsessed with this?

MORTALITY

Its knowing what those things can lead to that cause us to fear them. We have become obsessed with protecting our life. And why shouldn't we? As it stands now, we only get one earthly life to live. To grow, learn and experience. Whats wrong with wanting to protect it?

NOTHING.... if you don't end up so concerned that your unable to live a healthy life.

BUT! What if we WERE able to regenerate so easily? What if our bodily defense system was stronger? Impenetrable? Would life seem LESS  precious over time? Would birth mean less? Would milestones become unimportant?

Though it might help some, like the OCD man from Eureka, I do not believe that overall it would be a positive thing. Unless it was a small boost in immunity and not a super boost.

As humans, I don't think we were made to handle "super" anything.
